Trail of Terror: Cabin in the Woods

Welcome to Stephen F. Austin State Park's haunted trail experience, it's dying to meat you. 

Walk into the shadows for a spine‑tingling journey through the Trail of Terror, where every rustle, whisper, and distant howl may not be what it seems. 

Pick up your wristbands at the trail entrance...if you dare. *Wristband distribution ends at 8:30 PM. 

Parking: Please follow staff directions for parking along the primitive loop. 

Date: October 10, 2026 

Time: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM**

• 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM:  Family-Friendly Hours 
• 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Full Haunted Experience (recommended for ages 10+) 

** Parental discretion is advised 

Trail event entrance is free after 5:30 PM. Please note: The park closes at 10:00 PM for day use.
